Anjuna (10bmnews Latest News) President Idriss Deby, who has been in power in the African country of Chad for three decades, was killed while fighting the rebels on the front line. According to a report published in 


Al Jazeera, Idris Debbie, 68, had gone to the northern part of the country to meet with military personnel fighting the rebels, where he was killed while fighting the rebels. 


A statement issued by the Chadian army said. President Idriss's son, 37-year-old Four Star General Muhammad Idriss, has been appointed head of the Military Council. It is believed that Idris Debbie came to power after a military coup in 1990 and was elected the sixth president of the country yesterday.
